Thanks ReelLibrarian for the plug, but the ReelWiki was a staff effort by the Reelfoot Region and everyone on the staff is involved with the editing. I am very proud of our wiki effort to share with the public libraries of our region.
We have a wikki for our workplace. Our tech coordinator is fantastic at setting things up.I believe our librarians will be able to get a lot of useful info from it!
I enjoyed learning about the IA. I am for anything that preserves our past so we can look back and see how far we've come in the present. It is very amusing to me to think how fast the internet stuff advances and what we thought was new is now old!
I enjoyed reading about wikis. I also enjoyed seeing examples of different library and genealogy themed wikis. I am a member of a family genealogy website. It is only open to family members. Once you get a user name and password, any member can post to or edit the website. While it is not specifically a wiki, it seems sort of similar in theory.

Flickr Fixit:
1.) While in your Flickr account, click on the photo to open it and click on Blog This link on top of the photo.
2.) You will be asked to configure a blog to post to. Click that link.
3.) Choose your blogging application Blogger/Beta Blogger.
4.) If beta Blogger, Flickr will ask to have access to your beta account.
5.) Click the Head over to Google link.
6.) Click on Grant Access. Put in your Username and Password and then go through remaining steps to post the photo to your blog.
Extra tip: Go to Bubblr.com and add comments to your photos on Flickr before posting to Blogger.
