Rollyo is great but takes time to work out exactly what you want.

Library thing is really helpful to keep a running wish list of books to read.

One more thing.

Tricia, this makes me become a "packrat" of book lists now. Just add it to the list, regular packrat, digital packrat, and blogging, librarything packrat. And no I Will Not add a how to book to reduce clutter to the list.
HELP ME!!

Library thing is helpful to keep your book list in order.
Rollyo is fun but it does take some time to work with it.

Oh, man! I could waste HOURS on Library Thing! Archivists love making lists, and this is a great one. I also started a Rollyo thing called "Primary Sources" and added in some of the links I found when I was designing the Primary Sources exercise for our TSLA educational outreach project. Then I tried out several search terms to see how it works. I entered "constitution," "slavery," and "Tennessee," and got loads of hits. This is a fabulous research tool. Thanks to whoever tracked down all these lovely online toys for us to play with! Kathy

Rollyo is great. I liked using everybody else's search tools better than mine though. My favorite thing from this week was Library Thing. I love the thought of having a list of all of my books. The reality of entering in all of my books is a different mater. I placed a link to my Library Thing catalog on my blog, Wandering Feet.

O.K., it should be matter instead of mater. I have added this for all of you spellcheckers out there. You know who you are.

I'm actually enjoying this adding to the My librarything.

It brings back memories of what you were thinking and doing when you do some "retrospective cataloging" on books that you own, but have not thought about in years.

Well, the library unsuggester was quite interesting. I just enjoy books period but this is a good way to see what you like and don't like.

Talking about a bus man's holiday! Library Thing is addictive. Love it.

TheLibraryThing is very cool. For a home setting, there surely must be something like it for listing household property items. It would be great for inventory for insurance purposes. Again, James, thanks for your help in helping me find Dewey numbers. j.g.

A lot easier than trying to keep up with my paper list, or should I say trying to find the paper list.

Wish I had more time to search around in here.

I enjoyed Library Thing, now I am trying to decide on a Rollyo search engine. Decisions, Decisions, Decisions!

Easy to use, I did this one on my own!

I truly enjoyed the LibraryThing exercise and will go back to use that site often in my personal time. The Rollyo has potential.
